For 17 years, our qualified teaching staff has brought fine-tuned knowledge, expert skills,
classroom professionalism and FUN to summer. Students work in collaborative settings
with faculty, which is comprised of district teachers who love the arts and experienced
NYC teaching artists.
Each program concludes with a final production: A theater show co-created and performed by 5-week SummerStage Theater; an
art exhibit by SummerStudio Art; and a video production by full-day participants.
Family-friendly scheduling lets kids attend a variety of half-day or full-day programs in
blocks from two to seven weeks.
Bring lunch from home or purchase at school. (Lunch available weeks 1-5)

In collaboration between students and faculty, SummerStage offers kids a unique experience to participate in all
aspects of the theatrical experience. Through our “all-star/no-star” ensemble policy, students develop individual techniques in acting,
movement, singing, set, and prop making. Under the skilled supervision of teaching faculty, using the principles
of story theater and performance art, each age group develops a perfomance which will be delivered at the end of the 5-week session. Rather
than choosing a few children to star in a few roles, the SummerStage process playfully challenges each member of the ensemble to be a star.
Choose from 2-, 5-, or 7-week programs, half- or full-day. |

SummerStudio Art includes work in 2D and 3D painting, drawing, sculpture and ceramics. Students are grouped
appropriately by age and challenged to expand their individual creativity. At the conclusion of the session, students will
display their artwork in an exhibit for family and friends. 5-week half-day program in July.
Choose SummerArts for full-day or 7-week options. (See schedule.) |

Director: Eric Goldstein
SummerArts Full Day gives students who prefer full-day programs their choice of morning workshops, followed by an
afternoon of fun. Choose morning activities from Summer Stage Theater or SummerStudio Art. Students participate in their morning programs
as described and spend afternoons working on TV production, rocketry, games & strategies, swimming, and other safe and fun supervised
recreation programs. High school students in SummerArts Full Day do so as Assistant Teacher Trainees in the afternoons.
Choose from 5-week or 7-week full-day programs.
